Way to make delicious lemonade out of seriously sour lemons!
When a Sacramento, Calif., wedding was called off at the last minute by the groom, the bride's family was left in a tough spot. They had spent approximately $35,000 on the nuptials and couldn't cancel the venue or the food so close to the date.

So Kari Duane, the mother-of-the-bride, decided to welcome homeless people to dine on the four-star feast at the city's Citizen Hotel. The menu included salad, cauliflower, gnocchi, salmon, ti-tip steak and a plethora of appetizers.

Duane said she wanted to find the positive in a really bad situation. "I feel a lot of heartache and heartbreak for [Quinn], but I will take away something good from this, I will," she told KCRA.
And the recipients of the dinner were extremely appreciative. "When you're going through a hard time and a struggle, for you to get out to do something different and with your family, it was really a blessing," said Rashad Abdullah, a man who brought his family-of-seven.
