Bruno Mars’ mom, Bernadette Hernandez died yesterday of a brain aneurism. The 55-year-old was taken to Queens Medical Center in Honolulu on Friday after suffering a suspected heart attack.
The Grammy-nominated singer and his brother, Eric, were spotted in LA that day after flying in from Berlin, but it’s believed they are now in Hawaii.
Bruno’s four sisters – Presley, Tahiti, Tiara and Jamie — are also in a band and they all credit their mother with inspiring them musically. Bruno was just 2 when he started doing Elvis Presley impressions and was 4 when he wrote a song called “I Love You Mom” in which he repeats the title and calls her “my favorite girl.”
Bruno, 28, is set to launch his Moonshine Jungle tour on June 22.
