Throughout its eight season run, plenty of celebrities guest starred on House alongside Hugh Laurie. There was Carmen Electra, who played herself in one of Dr. House’s fantasies, and Jeremy Renner, who played a punk rocker who was later diagnosed with measles. Orange Is the New Black actress Laura Prepon appeared in the sixth season as a blogger with kidney failure (among many other things) and Prison Break actor Wentworth Miller played a rich patient whose extreme generosity ended up being a symptom of Plummer’s disease in the season 8 episode “Charity Case.” And that’s just to name a few! Check out the video below to see 21 stars you totally forgot were on House.

Among the 21 stars listed above was Meat Loaf, who played a patient who had been misdiagnosed with cancer in the season 5 episode “Simple Explanation.” The musician was extremely excited when he found out he was going to be on the show back in 2009 because he was a huge fan just like the rest of us.

“I love House. I love Hugh. I love his character on the show,” he told E Online at the time. “I was so excited and very nervous [to be on the show], I might add. I was very nervous because I love the show so much. If I didn’t like the show and I never watched it, I probably wouldn’t have been so nervous. I get nervous every time I go onstage. I’m a nervous person.”

During his brief time on set, Meat Loaf and Hugh became friendly, which led the singer to ask the actor if he would be interested in playing piano on his track “If I Can’t Have You.” “The next day on the set, [Hugh] walked up to me and said, ‘Are you kidding me? Yes. I’ll play,'” Meat Loaf recounted. We love that the show brought these two together!
