Céline Dion was overwhelmed with emotion while paying tribute to her late husband René Angélil on Feb. 3 following his death from throat cancer three weeks ago.
Dressed in a shoulder-baring black gown, the 47-year-old addressed the crowd gathered at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and the thousands of fans watching a live stream across the world.

"Let me start by saying good evening, good friends. René, the love of my life, would be so happy to know we are here together. I feel the love in this room," the singer shared.
"This is my home away from home. At the same time, I'm supposed to feel extremely comfortable being home, and right now, I'm not sure how comfortable I feel," she admitted.

Céline went on to describe how kind and thoughtful a man the producer and talent manager was. "René never hated anyone. Is it possible someone loves everybody? I don't think so. But he never told me a person he disliked," she said. "Time was precious to him. He loved life so much."
René, 73, had been battling the disease for over two years. He leaves behind three sons with Céline and three children from previous relationships.
