Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Announce They’re Expecting Baby No. 2!
Another little Legend is on the way! Just one month after Life & Style exclusively revealed that Chrissy Teigen is pregnant with her second child, the model and hubby John Legend announced the news with the help of their 19-month-old daughter Luna! Watch in the video below:
It was Chrissy’s mom, Vilailuck Teigen, who spilled the beans about the pregnancy, according to a Lip Sync Battle insider. “Chrissy was crying for what seemed like no reason,” the source said. When Vilailuck saw Chrissy’s outburst, “she was overheard saying, ‘My daughter is so emotional these days because she’s pregnant.'”
However, it was Chrissy, 31, who has made it clear she wants a baby boy next with hubby John Legend. “A little boy is next, for sure,” she told Entertainment Tonight. To clarify her statements, she explained that the couple would be undergoing in vitro fertilization again to get pregnant. “Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah,” she tweeted.
John, 38, is also all for having a son, although he does admit Luna is a daddy’s girl. “My wife’s a little bit jealous,” he told People. “We’ve got to have a boy too, so she can feel that same feeling.”
Previously, it was reported that Chrissy and John were in couple’s therapy to deal with issues including her battle with postpartum depression and his hectic tour schedule, which had put a strain on the couple’s four-year marriage. However, happier days are ahead for the expecting pair. “Having a baby is a big challenge for a couple,” John has said, “and going through that together strengthens your bond because if you make it through [having a child], you know you can make it through anything.”
