It comes as no surprise that the network wanted the pair and real life BFF’s back after the ceremony drew in an astounding 19.7 million viewers last year. And who wouldn’t want to see them make some digs at the celebrities? We still can’t get over their James Cameron and Taylor Swift jokes!
During the Emmys on Sept. 22, Tina confirmed to Ryan Seacrest that they were approached for the gig again, saying, “NBC has invited us, yes.”Amy Poehler Agrees With Taylor Swift: "I am Going to Hell"
Ryan also asked Amy about the situation. “We only talk about awards shows at other awards show,” the Parks and Recreation actress said. “The idea of getting to see Tina in any form is always nice right now. The only way we see each other is when we work.”
And though Neil Patrick Harris was the host of the Emmys this year, the dynamic duo — and former Saturday Night Live stars — still managed to steal the show during his opening monologue.

Amy’s response? “It would be degrading. But we would be degrateful.” The bit had everyone in the audience roaring with laughter.
