For the 17th season of Dancing With the Stars, pro dancer Cheryl Burke will be sharing the inside scoop with Life & Style readers! In this week’s edition, Cheryl reveals how she and partner Jack Osbourne never thought they’d make it this far in the competition — and how they’ve become BFFs over the past 11 weeks!
Although Jack opened up about his fatigue and frustration on last night’s show, I’ve got to say that he’s been so motivated throughout this entire process — no matter how tired he’s been!
Learning to dance isn’t easy. Learning technique isn’t easy. We have grueling rehearsal schedules and we rehearse between 30-40 hours a week and dancing is very physical. When someone isn’t getting just even one step right, it can be really defeating and demoralizing. Jack handles the pressures better than most people and I think that’s because of his sense of humor.

We’re very similar in age, personality and what we find funny. I don’t recall another partner with whom I’ve bonded so quickly!
Jack’s very honest with me when he needs to rest. He knows his limits better than I do and I know that I need to listen to him even when I want to push on.
He has a will to show people that a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis isn’t the end of life. He has a daughter that he wants to be proud of him and his accomplishments. He’s facing a big fear every week dancing live in front of millions of people and there’s nothing more inspirational than that.
I’m really excited to start working on our dance for next week’s show. We’re going to start rehearsing today with a nice fix to six-hour session! We have the Tango and I think it might be Jack’s best dance yet.
Snooki Gets Emotional After Dancing With the Stars Elimination
Jack’s thrilled that we've made it this far. Our goal was week five. Jack is one of the few people on the show with no dance experience. What he’s accomplished these last 11 weeks of training and performing is amazing. Thank you so much for all of your support!
Until next time,Cheryl
