We’ve finally found a frontrunner! When it comes to Nick Viall’s successor, Bachelor Nation has their eyes on one guy — and that man is Dean Unglert. A source who was at The Bachelorette’s Season 13 Men Tell All taping exclusively tells Life & Style that the crowd made it clear that they want the adorable 26-year-old to be the next star of The Bachelor.

“Dean ended up receiving the most applause from the audience,” the insider says of the TV event, which was filmed on Friday, July 21, in LA. “It was obvious he was the crowd’s favorite. Many of the girls were fawning over him. He would make a great Bachelor.” The source also tells Life & Style that the genetically blessed startup recruiter — who was sent home by Rachel Lindsay on the July 17 episode of The Bachelorette — “was the only guy who got to sit next to” the Dallas-based attorney.

“Their chemistry seemed pretty natural. It wasn’t awkward to look at them together,” the insider recalls. “They were kind of just talking how exes talk: ‘I’ve got some questions and I’m wondering what the reasons were behind your actions,’ and that was it.”

With his failed romance with Rachel behind him, we’d love to watch Dean continue his search for love on television. While he made many viewers cringe when he told Rachel, “Once you go black, you never go back,” during this year’s After the Final Rose special, the hunky Colorado native has quickly charmed fans.

Obviously, Dean has got the looks (that smile! those baby blues!), but most of all, he’s up for a challenge. As he wrote in his Bachelorette bio earlier this year, he is looking for “a woman who demands to be pursued” because “nothing good comes easy.”

As we wait with bated breath to see if Dean gets the gig on Season 22 of The Bachelor, we can at least watch him — and those abs — on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise, which premieres on ABC Monday, Aug. 14, at 8 p.m. EST.
