‘Bachelorette’ Hannah Brown’s Neil Lane Engagement Ring From Jed Wyatt Is Estimated to Be Worth Up to $80,000!
It feels like the Bachelorette engagement rings get bigger and more beautiful every single year, and Hannah Brown‘s ring from Jed Wyatt is no exception! We were nearly blinded by the Neil Lane sparkler on part 2 of the 2019 finale on July 30, and now Kathryn Money, VP of Strategy & Merchandising for Brilliant Earth, is breaking down the details of the massive rock.
“Hannah’s ring appeared to feature an oval cut diamond accented by a halo and set on a delicate, white gold or platinum diamond-accented band,” the gem expert explained while noting that the center sparkler weighed around a whopping three carats.
Love is priceless but Hannah’s ring definitely came at a hefty cost. “Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the diamond, we estimate the cost of the ring to be between $45,000 to $80,000,” Kathyn added.
Unfortunately, it’s most likely that Hannah will have to give that sparkler back. Halfway through her season, a woman came forward alleging that she was Jed’s girlfriend and that he promised to come back to her after using the show for fame. Hannah officially announced during After the Final Rose that she and Jed broke off her engagement following the shocking allegations.
“I am not with Jed anymore,” the starlet confessed to Chris Harrison. “The engagement is over, we are not together. That is not what I said yes to.”
Though the Bachelorette contestants are able to pick a Neil Lane ring to propose with free of charge, they don’t necessarily own it until they’ve proven themselves as a legit couple. “If you make it to the end of The Bachelor and decide to get married within the two years following the show, the producers own the exclusive rights to your wedding,” explained Bachelor Nation: Inside the World of America’s Favorite Guilty Pleasure author Amy Kaufman. “As for the ring given to you by Neil Lane? You don’t own it — and therefore can’t sell it — for two years.” Unfortunately, that means Hannah will have to give her diamond back since she split from Jed.
Although her relationship with the country singer was a mess, the ring certainly was gorgeous!
