Will we ever know the truth? On the Season 6 premiere of Vanderpump Rules, all eyes were on Jax Taylor as he tried to defend himself against rumors that he cheated on girlfriend Brittany Cartwright with former SURver Faith Stowers. In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, series star (and longtime frenemy of Jax) Katie Maloney shared her thoughts about the scandal.
“The first episode is so crazy. It starts off crazy. I think they showed in previews that there may be something with Jax possibly cheating. This summer was definitely very crazy and I have yet to be surprised by anything in this group of people,” the Bravolebrity, 30 — whose new makeup collaboration, Julie Hewett x Pucker & Pout, launches in 2018 — said. “I don't even know what to say. It’s bananas.”

As viewers saw on Monday night’s episode, Brittany, 28, immediately fired back at Jax once she caught wind of his alleged indiscretions with Faith, who feared she was pregnant after claiming she and the 38-year-old didn’t use protection. In response, Brittany threatened to move out of her and Jax’s shared West Hollywood apartment if she ever found out that her bartender boyfriend strayed.
Pump Rules’ Lala Kent — who previously had beef with the couple on Season 4 after she and Jax shamelessly flirted with one another while Brittany still lived in her home state of Kentucky — also opened up to Life & Style about the current drama. According to the SUR hostess, she couldn’t be more proud of Brittany for finally standing up to Jax.
“Brittany, I adore her. How could you not? She’s, like, this sweet Kentucky girl who wouldn’t hurt a fly. But you see her get real Kentucky this season,” the Give Them Lala Beauty founder, 27, explained. “She gets to clapping! I was really, really proud of the women on the show this season. You go, Brittany. You go, girl!”
Back in September, Jax told In Touch that Season 6 of VPR was “really tough” for him — and, of course, now we know why. “Out of all the six seasons that we've done, this was the worst for me. The worst. I'm absolutely dreading it. I'm probably going to go into hiding," he said. "It's bad. I mean, there are times where it's fine. But I would say a good 85 percent of it, it's a rough season.”
Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo Mondays at 9 p.m. EST.
