Well this isn't exactly the Disney ending Vanessa Hudgens is used to.
The former High School Musical star, 27, has to pay $1,000 for carving a heart into a red rock wall with boyfriend Austin Butler, 24, during a Valentine's Day trip to Sedona, Arizona.
The couple were under criminal investigation in February after they etched the heart with their names into the rock, then shared their artwork on Vanessa's Instagram (a post that has since been deleted). Defacing a national feature on U.S. Forest Service land is a federal offense and carries penalties of up to six months in prison and $5,000 in fines.

"The issue of people carving their names and other things in rocks in the Sedona and surrounding area is always a challenge we face, and try to inform people about its destructive nature," said Coconino National Forest Public Affairs Officer Brady Smith at the time. "We have found that when one person carves something, it encourages others to carve."

The incident happened right after Vanessa's beloved dad died of stage IV cancer and she did a widely-praised performance as Rizzo in Grease: Live. The money will go toward a charity that will restore the rock Vanessa and Austin defaced.
At least the pair can put this whole ordeal to rest now and hopefully move on with their lives.
