Drake and Bella Hadid Spark Dating Rumors After the Rapper Throws Her a 21st Birthday Party
Leave it to Bella Hadid and Drake to make headlines… dating headlines, that is. The pair was spotted together at Bella’s 21st birthday party, which apparently Drake not only attended but also planned. So, what inspired the “Hotline Bling” singer to foot the bill for the supermodel? Well, according to partygoers, the two seemed like an item all night.
“[Drake] planned it and paid for everything,” a source told Us Weekly of the star-studded affair held at the Socialista lounge in NYC on Monday, Oct. 9. Celebs like Kylie Jenner‘s baby daddy Travis Scott and Dutch DJ Martin Garrix were also in attendance. And according to ELLE AU, “Drake wanted to show Bella an awesome time and he did so with this amazing birthday party.”
How sweet — the rapper definitely seems like boyfriend material. And, it looks like Bella thinks so too. “She was super smitten when she saw him from across the room,” the insider continued. “He and Bella were incredibly close at the club and he held her closely while they lounged in the VIP section. They didn’t leave each other’s side the entire night and even danced together to some of The Weeknd‘s songs when they were played. Their chemistry has always been great and Drake is very supportive of everything she is doing.”
Her mom, Yolanda Foster, was also at the party (obvs). She later appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and dished about her daughter’s relationship with the Degrassi alum. When Andy asked if the two were dating she replied, “Are you kidding? What are we here? This is like,” she said before simply smiling. But, Andy kept pressing and asked about Drake throwing her daughter a birthday party. “I mean, they’re friends,” she added.
Even though Bella has said in the past that she’s okay with being single, we hope these rumors are true. She split with The Weeknd back in 2015 and he has since (very publically) moved on with Selena Gomez. Her mom revealed to Andy that Bella doesn’t care anymore that her ex is dating the “Bad Liar” singer, so what’s stopping her from moving on herself?
We hope these to make their relationship ~official~ sooner rather than later. And hey, maybe Bella will even make a cameo in Drake’s next music video.
