If you love celebs, you probably keep up with their personal lives, but even pop culture experts have forgotten about some of the most high profile relationships from the early 2000s.
Like, how could we forget that Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne dated for two years?!
That’s right, before the Hills alum got engaged to Kaitlynn Carter, he was in a pretty serious relationship with the pop punk princess.
Things got so serious between the duo that they even got tattoos of each other’s names. Brody had it inked on the inside of his arm, while Avril sported her beau’s moniker by her right breast.
Unfortunately, they called it quits in January 2012.
“It was mutual, but Brody really broke up with her,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “He told her he was tired of always being her plus-one, and always going on tour with her.”
Brody, now 33, “said he [needed] a career of his own again, and he didn’t want to go on the tour. Avril didn’t like that.”
Apparently, Brody’s fading star was getting on his lady’s nerves. “She lost respect for him because he hasn’t done anything,” the source said. “Brody said, ‘I need to stay in LA and get back into TV, either scripted or reality. But I feel like a loser.'”

Though at the time, the insider implied that there was a likelihood the couple would settle their differences. But it’s clear they’ve both moved on since their 2010 love affair.
