If Eiza González's face looks familiar, but you can't remember why — you're not alone. The Mexican actress and singer is an Oscar presenter at the 2018 Academy Awards. After appearing in a variety of Spanish-language soap operas from 2007 to 2016, the 28-year-old star nabbed her breakout role in the critically-acclaimed Baby Driver. On Feb. 27, Eiza shared with her fans how finding out she would be a presenter at the award show was a dream come true.

"A small girl from Mexico dreamt her whole life of this moment, never expecting it to become true," she wrote on Instagram. "I cried. Always fight for your dreams and believe in yourself even when everything looks hopeless. Thank you to @theacademy and thank you God for this gift."

In the action-comedy film, she plays bank robber "Darling" who is the scandalous wife and partner-in-crime to husband Jon Hamm's character, Buddy. Baby Driver is nominated for Best Film Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Sound Editing. The Fault In Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort plays the titular-role of "Baby." The movie has been praised for its inventive use of music during action-packed scenes — and Eiza explained last year how music played such a huge role in the film.

"I really like the 'Tequila' scene (performed by the Button Down Brass)," she confessed. "I think it’s such a dynamic, fun scene. It has a lot of action. Everyone shines. Everyone does a great job. It was a hard scene to shoot, but the outcome of it was absolutely amazing. It was probably the heaviest musical scene through the whole movie. Every gunshot played on every beat of 'Tequila'. Even the bullet casings hitting the floor were timed — the movement, the punches, the driving. It was wild. I was really excited to see the outcome because it was so hard to shoot and the result was amazing." It makes sense that the actress would thrive in a music-based environment considering her background as a singer — and her appearance in Justin Timberlake's "Supplies" music video.

Is there anything Eiza can't do? Not really. And while her career is on the upswing, so is her personal life. The actress has been linked to handsome celebs like Liam Hemsworth and Calvin Harris. And now, she's reportedly dating Fergie's ex, Josh Duhamel. According to Us Weekly, the duo was spotted getting flirty with each other at a pre-Super Bowl concert and began dating shortly after.

"They drank and partied together until very late," the insider revealed. "After, Josh reached out to a mutual friend and asked for Eiza's number. They definitely have a connection because they’ve been FaceTiming and texting nonstop while she’s been in England working. They're keeping it on the down-low. He’s telling her he’s never met anyone like her before."

When Latina magazine previously questioned her about being linked to such famous men, she simply said: "I'm looking for love like every other human being. I've been meeting a lot of people and finding what I like and what I don't like — defining myself as a person."
