Revving up for her 70-concert run at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood beginning later this year, Britney Spears, 31, has been working hard to get her body sleek and toned.
Turning to personal trainer Tony Martinez to get her in tip-top shape, the fitness guru talks to Life & Style about Brit’s fitness routine — and her competitive spirit.
“We’re focusing on high-intensity intervals right now,” Martinez tells Life & Style, on newsstands now, of Britney’s gym work. “She wants to be ready for Vegas.”

Cranking up the cardio with Tony at least three times a week means circuit training that includes sprints, jumping rope, basketball drills and boxing. “She’s just dripping [in sweat] the whole time,” he says. “But she wants more! She is tough — and so competitive.”
Turns out, the princess of pop is not above giving her trainer a hard time, either. “She loves talking smack,” adds Martinez. “She’s a tremendous athlete.”

Britney has said of the gig, “To pull this off, I have to be in top condition and running at full speed,” and it looks like she’s putting in the work to make it all happen. In addition to her sessions with Tony, the blond bombshell is following the Nutrisystem diet (she’s not a spokeswoman) and doing 90 minutes of yoga twice a week.
