Just three days after Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied exchanged "I do"s in front of their closest friends and family at a private home in Big Sur, Calif., Life & Style can reveal new details about the lavish event.
"Natalie was married under a chuppah [a traditional Jewish wedding structure] made of twigs and wood with custom fabric by Dolce Designs," a guest at the wedding tells Life & Style. "She walked down a custom runner made out of wooden tree stumps that created a pathway down the aisle."
Surrounding Natalie, who was dressed in a simple and beautiful white dress from Rodarte, was gorgeous lighting created by Images by Lighting and floral arrangements by Velvet Garden.
"Yifat Oren was the wedding planner," the guest says. "She created a very whimsical and natural wedding. It was very organic. They served a completely vegan meal for their late dinner."
The pair, who met on the set of Black Swan in 2009 (which Benjamin, 35, choreographed and for which Natalie, 31, won Best Actress at both the Academy Awards and Golden Globes in 2011), got engaged and announced they'd be expecting their first child together in December 2010. The couple welcomed a son, Aleph, in June 2011.
During her Oscar acceptance speech, Natalie referred to Benjamin as "my beautiful love" and thanked him for making her a mom and giving her the "most important role of my life."
