John Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier to Pay Tribute to Their Late Mothers on ‘Fuller House’

While fans have been anticipating the premiere of Fuller House practically since the Full House finale aired in 1995, it brings up mixed emotions for the men of the show, Bob Saget, John Stamos, and Dave Coulier.

Though they were a part of one of the most cookie-cutter TV families, hardship hit the three stars in 2014 when they all tragically lost their mothers within months of one another. In an interview with People, John, 52, said “I miss my parents being here … My mom loved [the original show].” And that sentiment is shared with the other men whole heartedly.

However, when tragedy struck, it just brought the cast closer together. Dave, 56, recalled, “There was just an instant support system. I consider those guys my family.”

And the support continues as show creator Jeff Franklin, who also lost his mother the same year, decided to put an “in loving memory” card at the end of the first episode to honor their late loved ones – Arlen Coulier, Carole Franklin, Dolly Saget and Loretta Stamos.

“That’s the only sad part, [that] our moms aren’t around to see this,” Jeff told People. “We’re putting an ‘in loving memory’ card at the end of the first show. Because this is something they would have loved.”
