"With a few more dance lessons, I would do Broadway," Gavin tells Life & Style. "But only if Karina comes and helps me!"
The singer and his partner Karina Smirnoff scored just 19 points on their samba on April 16. As the lowest-scoring couple, they had a special challenge to face on the results show the next day: a dance duel against fellow contestant Jaleel White and his partner, Kym Johnson. The two couples danced the cha-cha simultaneously, but in the end, Gavin and Karina were voted out.
Karina says she and Gavin fought their hardest to win the first-ever dance duel in Dancing With the Stars history. "We had less than two hours to do the whole dance," she shares. "At midnight yesterday we had to leave the studio because it was closing -- but we finished the routine in the garage."
The "Not Over You" crooner isn't leaving the dance floor empty-handed, though.
After flirting with Karina throughout his run on DWTS, he shares what he's taking home instead of a trophy: "I got Karina's phone number - finally!" he tells Life & Style. "It took a while."
