Who would have thought that celebs and alcohol brands go hand and hand?!
Over the last decade or so, A-listers have added the label "business owner" to their resumés. And there's one particular industry that the really rich and famous seem to be drawn to — alcohol. In fact, George Clooney just sold his piece of the boozy pie for a whopping $1 billion.
The actor casually founded a tequila company called Casamigos back in 2013. He's apparently still involved in the business, despite the sale, but he's got his hands full with baby twins at the moment.
If you're now wondering which other celebrities are behind some really big drink brands, you're in luck. We've done some research and put together a handy A-Z guide of who owns what — and for the record, you probably won't be able to afford much of it...
AC/DC: Thunderstruck Tequila
Tequila is definitely a theme here. Last year AC/DC collaborated with a company called Fabrica de Tequilas Finos to create their own. The band has also dabbled in beer and wine, but tequila is way more fun.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: Chateau Miraval Cotes de Provence
Back when Brangelina was still Brangelina, they owned a vineyard. Their signature wine was the Miraval Rose.
CeeLo Green: Ty Ku Sake
This happened back in 2013, and according to an old interview with Ad Week, CeeLo's favorite flavor sake is coconut.
Danny DeVito: Limoncello
So, the story goes: George Clooney and Danny DeVito were at dinner. Danny had about seven shots of limoncello. He stayed up all night before appearing on the morning talk show The View. He spoke about limoncello a lot. It was awkward and funny and awkward again. Then he decided to make his own limoncello. But it doesn't look like it exists anymore.
David Beckham: Haig Club Whisky
Becks launched a single grain Scotch whisky called Haig Club, which looks more like a giant bottle of aftershave rather than a drink, but perhaps that's what makes it "cool."
Drew Barrymore: Barrymore Wines
Drew Barrymore is a delight, isn't she? She's also very passionate about wine. That's all.
Fergie and Pitbull (but mainly Pitbull): Voli 305 Vodka
Way back in 2012 when Fergie was still in the Black Eyed Peas and everything was right with the world, she became an equity owner of Voli Vodka, which is meant to be all trendy and low-calorie and stuff. According to Business Insider, Pitbull approached Fergie with the idea — he was already an owner — but by the looks of things, it doesn't look like Fergie is actively involved anymore. Also, it's called Voli 305 Vodka. Pitbull is Mr. 305. So it seems like it's more his gig than hers.
George Clooney: Casamigos Tequila
George co-founded the company with his good pal Rande Gerber (who also happens to be Cindy Crawford's husband).
Hanson: MMMHops Beer
Hanson, guys. HANSON. As in the kids who did "MMMBop!" They launched a beer company that's been around for a while now. It serves MMMHops. Get it?!
Jay-Z: Armand de Brignac Champagne
Anyone else starting to think there isn't an industry the Carter-Knowles haven't conquered? Of course Hove's champagne is ridiculously expensive.
Justin Timberlake: Sauza 901 Tequila
What's that? Another tequila? Oh, Justin. So predictable.
Ludacris: Conjure Cognac
Obviously jumping on the Courvoisier/Hennessy bandwagon wasn't quite Luda's vibe. So he made is own.
Marilyn Manson: Mansinthe Absinthe
It makes sense that the rocker is a fan of the green fairy.
P Diddy: Ciroc Vodka
Yep, that's right. P "I'll Be Missing You" Diddy owns that fancy schmancy vodka people pose with in the VIP booths of nightclubs.
Pharrell: Qream Liqueur
Pharrell helped to launch a liqueur called Qream, which was meant to be specially created for women. But he ended up filing a $5 million lawsuit against the manufacturing company after they failed to distribute the product. Which is why you've probably never heard of it before...
