Everyone knows that some of the most iconic episodes of Glee were the tribute episodes. The Lady Gaga one? The Britney Spears/Brittany S. Pierce crossover? It doesn't get any better than that. But tuning in to those unforgettable episodes, it was about way more than just the music. Sure, an incredible mash-up will always be the heart and soul of McKinley High's glee club, but that wasn't the only special thing they did. They also always went above and beyond when it came to dressing up, whether it was for just a single song or a whole themed week. Watch the video above to check out some of the best costumes from the show.

It's clear the characters put just as much heart into their outfits as they did into their solos and dance moves. Whether it was wearing matching black and red to Regionals or donning full zombie makeup for the half-time show at a football game, they did it up right. But let's be honest. Almost every single outfit on Glee was iconic, whether the characters were in costumes or not. We won't pretend we haven't browsed the Internet to keep an eye out for an affordable Cheerios uniform of our own. Go team, right?

In the meantime, though, we'll have to settle with the classic blue jeans and red shirt combination. Maybe not everyone will get the reference, but any true Gleek will — and, more importantly, we'll know what it means. Because in our hearts, we'll always be part of the New Directions, jamming out and performing with the rest of the McKinley crew. We may not have Rachel Berry or Mercedes' amazing voices, but we're content just to be in the chorus if it means we can belt out "Don't Stop Believin'" at the top of our lungs right along with everyone else.
