The 2017 Grammys haven't even started yet, but at least one attendee is making a political statement on the red carpet — and it's definitely not one we were anticipating on music's biggest night!
Singer Joy Villa was spotted wearing a voluminous white cape and carrying a heart-shaped clutch early in the evening, but it's what the 25-year-old revealed underneath that's left fans speechless.

For the ceremony, Joy chose to wear a red, white, and blue dress with Donald Trump's slogan "Make America Great Again" printed across the front in sparkly silver print. In block letters on the train of her fishtail gown is the president's name.

To make matters more uncomfortable, the look features sheer white panels on the side, which expose the California native's lacy thong. This is one time that Joy should have considered going commando.
Before revealing her outfit at the show, the former Heroes actress wrote on Instagram, "My whole artistic platform is about LOVE! I couldn't be where I am today without the love and tenderness of those beautiful supporters and friends around me. Thank you I hope you enjoy tonight's @grammysawards2017 and remember to forget your problems and focus on your future! You are infinite and beautiful and no one can stop you but you. So go out and celebrate yourself as a winner no matter what, together with those you adore!"

Needless to say, Twitter has already had a field day criticizing the frock, with many claiming that the artist is only interested in racking up another 15 minutes of fame. "Who is this now? I have never heard of a Joy Villa. No inauguration invite. Aaaaww they don't know her either," one user wrote. But plenty of others called the songwriter "brave" for going against the Hollywood grain.
It should be noted that Joy is a fan of the outrageous. At both the 2015 and 2016 Grammys, she turned heads in see-through dresses.
