Fans echoed his sentiments, taking to social media to share their anticipation for the new series.

Taylor, 35, portrays Lieutenant Kelly Severide on the popular NBC drama, which follows the life-and-death situations of the heroes at Firehouse 51. Recently, on the show’s finale, Taylor’s character suffered a tragic personal loss, leaving fans confused about his future.

“No, figure it out,” he jokingly added. “I think they’ll have fun though, best of luck.”

The yet-to-be-named ABC series will take place in a Seattle firehouse and feature a group of firefighters that will be introduced as part of an episode of Grey’s, which is in its 13th season.

The show will be led by Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Stacy McKee and executive produced by Shonda Rimes.

“No one can interweave the jeopardy firefighters face in the line of duty with the drama in their personal lives quite like Shonda, and ‘Grey’s’ signature Seattle setting is the perfect backdrop for this exciting spin-off,” said ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey, according to Variety.

We can’t wait to tune in either, Taylor!
