In case you DIDN'T already know, proposing at McDonald's is pretty much the worst, and now there's a video to prove it.
Michael Joseph, operating on an inside joke the couple had over their two-year relationship, thought that proposing to his girlfriend, Anna, at a McDonald's drive-thru would be the best way to pop the question. He even stuffed the ring in the bun of a Crispy Chicken Deluxe burger, because romance.

But when Anna — in the passenger seat of his car and unaware she's being filmed — opens the box, she's not only unpleasantly surprised by the proposal, but proceeds to tear down Michael for his idea.
"You can't do this," she says. "You can’t ask me to marry you in a chicken sandwich! Oh my god!"
Her final answer? "I can't marry you. You just asked me on a bun!"
Poor crushed Michael.
But despite that horrific experience, Michael still posted the video to YouTube, presumably to keep other guys from making the same mistake.
He explains his reasoning in the caption: "I met my girlfriend 2 years ago in LA. I've never been good at planning in advance which is why we wound up ending our first date at this exact McDonalds. She joked for months about how 10 years down the road I would probably propose to her in a chicken nugget box so I thought she would love when I surprised her this way.

Then the understatement of the year: "She didn't love it like the way I thought she would."
But don't worry too much about Michael. According to his caption, though Anna turned him down now, "we agreed to wait longer until it's time to get engaged."
