As The Voice crowned its ninth winner last night, there was a noticeable sadness hanging over the studio, given that Gwen Stefani will not be returning as a coach next season.
The 46-year-old is reportedly relinquishing her place to original judge Christina Aguilera, and the mother-of-three expressed her sadness over leaving the singing competition on Instagram, hinting that she's especially bummed to say goodbye to boyfriend Blake Shelton, 39.
"@nbcthevoice #lastnight #gonnamissyou gx," Gwen captioned a photo of her glam look during last night's finale.
Blake previously revealed that he'd love to bring the blonde beauty back as a fifth judge. "There's something about this [combination of coaches] that is a standout to me because there's just so much history here with these four," he shared.

"You can't fake that. There's friendships that go way back. When you get to work with your friends like ... who gets to do that? It's pretty cool," Blake said, before adding, "I'll see you next season Gwen."
But things may not be as solid between the duo as they seem. According to In Touch Weekly, Gwen was "crushed" when she discovered text messages between the country crooner and his ex wife, Miranda Lambert.
"Gwen saw it and lost it," a source tells the mag. "She found Blake and asked to speak to him privately, but he said he couldn’t right then and there. She had tears running down her face and went and locked herself in her dressing room.”
