"Had to send this amazing little guy up today," the 29-year-old wrote in the caption. "He's going to be with his first mom (my grandmother)." Having been in the family for nearly all of Hilary's life, we're sure this is going to be tough on the mother-of-one.

"He was 20 years young my sweet faced boy, such a love, such a good dog," she continued. "Coco we will miss you keeping everyone in check around here."

The loss is no doubt painful for Hilary's four-year-old son Luca and her sister Haylie Duff as well.
