The news comes after Ian’s costar Kat Graham shared that she’ll also be leaving. “Season 8 will be my last season,” she told Us Weekly. “I just hope that whatever I do after, the crew can come with me… The crew is going to be the hardest thing to let go, because we are a family.”

The CW has yet to confirm Ian’s announcement, but following Nina Dobrev‘s departure in Season 6, fans were skeptical about how the story would continue, convincing many that the end was near.

At least we’ll still have The Originals!
