<p><span></span>Eliminated<em> American Idol </em>contestant Casey Abrams appeared to have confirmed rumors of a behind-the-scenes romance when he sang the words "you're mine" to fellow contestant Haley Reinhart on last night's show. But Casey now tells<em> Life & Style</em> they are just friends. "I was just saying goodbye to my very special musical friend," Casey tells <em>Life & Style</em>. "That's all that was."<br />
Despite winning the judges' save vote earlier in the competition, the shaggy yet suave Casey, 20, of Idyllwild, Calif., failed to make the Top 5 when America voted him out on last night's results show. Even though Casey walks away without the title and without love ("We are not a romantic couple, we were never dating," he reconfirms about Haley, 20), the charming musician has no regrets. "The experience of living with all these other serious singers, that really made the experience what it is," he says. "That's what I will miss most about it, to be honest."
Next Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox, the Top 5 will perform one current song and one from the 1960s during Now and Then week. Then on Thursday's results show at 8 p.m., judge Jennifer Lopez performs her new single, "On the Floor."
