Elizabeth Olsen stars as a young woman trapped in a dark, creaky house with, well, someone nasty. The 88-minute film unfolds in real time in a single uninterrupted take, an impressive filmmaking feat. More important, it's almost unbearably suspenseful -- and utterly terrifying. The ending's a bit of a mess, but for heart-stopping scares, this can't be beat. -- Dan Jewel
