Lee and Amber Towndrow are grieving the loss of their three-month-old son, Karl, following his death at an unlicensed daycare center in NYC. It was his first day there.
Paramedics were called to SoHo Child Care on Monday after the infant went into cardiac arrest. He was later pronounced dead at Lenox Hill Hospital. According to reports, none of the four employees at the daycare were qualified to perform CPR.

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services and the New York City Health Department are said to be investigating the death and the center (located in a second floor apartment), which has been operating unlicensed for more than a decade.
Friends of the Towndrows have since set up a GoFundMe page to help the family with hospital and funeral costs, which has raised over $43,000.

"Karl was beloved by his parents, who doted on him every moment. He was their joy and brought happiness to everyone who met him," the page reads. "His family and friends are grieving but are taking comfort in knowing they knew this sweet, innocent soul, even if it was all too brief."
