With their reported July 4 wedding date looming, Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson decided to celebrate — with a co-ed bachelor-bachelorette party!
The blonde bombshell, 33, and the former NFL player, 34 — who have two children together — ditched the strippers and put together a memorable night for about 40 of their closest friends and family at the Warwick in LA on June 8.
“It wasn’t about being naughty,” one of Jess’ friends says. “They just wanted a great night out with their friends and family.”

In fact, there’s a reason why the couple opted for a joint celebration.
“They didn’t want a traditional bachelor-bachelorette where they go off and do their own thing, because our group of friends is so close we just wanted to all be together,” shares the fashion designer’s longtime friend and bridesmaid, Stephanie Terblanche.
“This is what we would do anyway. We would all go out, and I think that this speaks for the group. If we are not going to be at someone’s house hanging out playing beer pong, this is the closest thing to it.”
According to the friend, “everyone had a great time” and “there were fun toasts at dinner and dancing!”
Jess isn’t the only Hollywood star to give a co-ed party a go. Just last February, Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter celebrated with his now-wife, Lauren Kitt, at a joint celebration in Las Vegas.

Who can forget about Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries? The reality star — who infamously filed for divorce from the NBA player just 72 days after their Aug. 20, 2011 wedding — crashed Kris’ bachelor party in Sin City around 2 a.m.
And then their marriage crashed. BURN.
People first reported the news of Jess and Eric’s celebration.
