Jon Voight won’t be sitting around a dinner table with daughter Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt or his grandchildren on Thursday.
The actor, 74, chatted with Life & Style at the Children of Chernobyl Gala in NYC on Monday, and he revealed his Thanksgiving plans don’t include seeing that part of his family.

“Angelina’s doing great and the kids are just terrific,” he told the mag. “They’re in Australia. Angie’s working on a film, so I won’t be able to see them this holiday, but that’s okay.”
And it seems Brangie and their brood will be Down Under for quite some time! Jon revealed they have plans to stay there through Brad’s 50th birthday, which is on Dec. 18.

But just becaues the group is out of sight, doesn't mean they're out of mind for Jon.
“I spent three hours in FAO Schwarz yesterday just to sniff it out. I wanted to get one of everything for each of them, but they each have such different personalities,” he shared about his six grandchildren, who range in age from five to 12.

So did he leave with a few gifts for his grandkids? “I love that place, but Angie takes care of all that stuff,” he said. “They’re all taken care of.”
Angie, 38, is currently in Sydney, Australia directing her latest film Unbroken.
