Thank goodness for the Long Island Medium fans. Viewers have gotten to know and love Theresa Caputo's relationship with her husband Larry Caputo after watching the last seven seasons of the hit show, and after weeks of hinting at divorce, the couple officially announced their split on Sunday, Dec. 3. Through the hard times, Theresa is so grateful for the support of her viewers, and took to Twitter to thank them.
"I'm overwhelmed by the love and support for me and my family while we're going through this difficult time," she wrote on Dec. 5. "One thing will never change and that is that we will always love and support each other, and be the best parents we can be to our children. Love you guys."
Theresa revealed the sad news that they were finally calling it quits just two days earlier. "After 28 years of marriage, we have decided to legally separate,” said a statement obtained by Us Weekly. “We will always love each other and our two wonderful children. We are united in supporting each other and our family. Please respect our privacy during this time.”

The Long Island Medium is definitely having marriage trouble.
In a teaser for the eighth season of the show, Theresa opened up about what's going on in her marriage, and it didn't sound too good. "Everything's good with Larry?" asked a friend. “There’s a strain there," admitted Theresa. “Since the last season of Long Island Medium, Larry and I’s relationship has changed. It’s not easy for me to talk about this — I don’t know what’s going to happen. And that’s hard.” Larry voiced his own concerns, saying, “I go to sleep thinking about it, I wake up thinking about it, I don’t know what the outcome of this is gonna be.” Episode 2 also saw Theresa confiding in a friend that she and Larry are going through a "rough patch."
The last time Theresa posted a photo of Larry on Instagram was in August, when she wrote, "Cupcakes for the birthday boy! Happy Birthday Larry. Let the celebrations begin." Since the season would have been taped before August, this could mean that they've managed to fix their relationship, or that they're just putting on a strong front for their two kids — Larry Caputo Jr., 24, and Victoria Caputo, 23 — since the message isn't particularly romantic.
Most recently fans saw Theresa break down during a reading. "I really can't stop thinking about my relationship with Larry. I'm gonna say something, and I'm gonna regret it. Things happen.” She walked off camera adding, “I can't – I can't do this. I'm in the middle of a reading with Erin, and my own emotions about my relationship with Larry got the best of me. This is a really hard time right now with Larry and I, and I don't know what is going to happen. It's just... It's wearing on me."
Fans are desperate for Theresa and Larry not to divorce.
"I’m praying for you and Larry!" wrote one fan on Instagram. "[It] broke my heart about you and Larry. I hope and pray that you too can work everything out," said another. The couple's supporters fully believe they can work this out. "So sad to see you and Larry are having issues. Fight for your marriage don’t let anything break you apart. You two are meant to grow old together. Take marriage over success!!! God bless you both!!!"
What does Theresa Caputo's husband do for a living?
Larry actually retired when he was 55 years old. Before that, he had an imported foods business and played hockey. He now focuses on supporting Theresa and being a dad. Even without a job (besides reality star), he still has a net worth of $3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The Caputos' drama will unfold on Season 8 of Long Island Medium Mondays at 9 p.m. on TLC.
