Jennifer Nettles is a mom!
The Sugarland front woman and hubby Justin Miller welcomed a baby boy, named Magnus Hamilton, on Dec. 6.
“We are so thankful for all the prayers and support and are excited to take some time together as a new family,” the pair said in a statement.
After marrying in a small ceremony in Tennessee last year, the couple announced in June that they were expecting their first child.
“The first three months were a challenge because we weren’t telling anybody,” the 38-year-old Duets mentor said after announcing the big news.
In November, the duo celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Justin also appeared in the video for Sugarland’s 2006 single “Want To.”
“The only piece of advice I gave [Jennifer] was [to] stop reading birthing books and start reading parenting books,” Kristian Bush, who is the other half of Sugarland and has two kids of his own, says. “Right when you get pregnant, forget it. Nature’s going to take care of you. What you need to do is figure out what to do the day after [you have a child], because you’re only pregnant for nine months, but you are a parent for the rest of your life.”
Magnus seems to be quite a popular baby name in Hollywood these days! In November, actress Elizabeth Banks welcomed a son, whom she also gave the name.
