‘Married to Medicine’ Star Dr. Jackie Filed for Divorce Amid Her Husband’s Cheating Scandal
She'll get through this! Married to Medicine star Dr. Jacqueline Walters has been through a lot in her life — she's a breast cancer survivor who has beaten the disease twice and she also has helped her father battle Alzheimer's disease — but nothing could have prepared her for the news that she received at the beginning of Season 5 of the hit Bravo reality TV series. Dr. Jackie found out that her husband Curtis Berry had been cheating on her after photos of him and his mistress went viral — and his scandal would eventually lead to their divorce. Curtis was caught cheating on camera.
Back in March, celebrity gossip blog The Shade Room obtained photos of Curtis with a mystery woman during a weekend stay at the Omni Hilton Oceanfront Resort in South Carolina. A fan recognized him from the show and snapped the photos, and told TSR, "They were together all weekend. They are definitely lovers, they were kissing, hugging [and] holding hands. I recognized him immediately."
The mystery woman broke her silence.
One month after the photos surfaced online, a 27-year-old woman named Natasha Pearson decided to tell her side of the story. In her interview with Radar Online, she went into detail about her "sexual relationship" with Dr. Jackie's husband, and she said that she didn't know Curtis was married throughout their affair.
Dr. Jackie found out via the internet.
A close friend saw Natasha's interview and brought it to Jackie right away, and she was completely devastated as she continued to read the candid details about her husband's affair. "I’m humiliated to my core,” she said in her confessional.
Dr. Jackie and Curtis are currently in the middle of a divorce.
She didn't waste any time dumping her cheating hubby to the curb, and in an interview on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live last month, Jackie revealed that it only took her three days to decide that she wanted to end her marriage.
"I get to decide if I have the courage to forgive or the freedom not to," she revealed in her confessional. "That is the hard part of healing from infidelity is just figuring out what is right for you. And I can't say that I've figured it all out. I cannot say I know what's right for me, because again with the airing of the show, it's reliving what we've already shared."
