Jamie Otis Reveals Pregnancy Fears While Showing off Her Baby Bump at 15 Weeks

After suffering a devastating miscarriage in 2016, Jamie Otis has tried to remain positive during her second pregnancy, but the Married at First Sight alum recently admitted to feeling anxious as she hit the 15-week mark.

Next to a picture of her baby bump on Instagram, the 30-year-old wrote, “I truly haven't been overly worried with this pregnancy. I think bc it has been completely different than my first I've felt confident this baby will grow safe and sound inside me… I haven't had any spotting, bleeding, or clots so I've felt like I am having a healthier pregnancy this time… I haven't had any cramping either… at least not until yesterday.”

15 weeks!😊 I truly haven't been overly worried with this pregnancy. I think bc it has been completely different than my first I've felt confident this baby will grow safe and sound inside me … I haven't had any spotting, bleeding or clots so I've felt like I am having a healthier pregnancy this time… I haven't had any cramping either …. at least not until yesterday.😩 I began the slightest cramping & they've lasted two full days now.🙁They're really mild cramps so I'm sure it's nothing (my doc says baby and I are absolutely fine) but for whatever reason I've been really nervous. We lost our angel Johnathan at 17 weeks, 1 day.😓 I just want to get past 17 weeks and feel this baby move.🙏🏼 I want to know our sweet baby is safe, healthy, and happy growing inside me.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Being pregnant is one one of the most joyous experiences, but it's also one of the scariest. 😔 #growbabygrow #babyhehner #prayingforhealthybaby #marriedlife #pregnant #pregnancy #babybump

The brunette beauty continued, “I began the slightest cramping & they've lasted two full days now. They're really mild cramps so I'm sure it's nothing (my doc says baby and I are absolutely fine) but for whatever reason I've been really nervous.”

Jamie went on to reveal, “We lost our angel Johnathan at 17 weeks, 1 day. I just want to get past 17 weeks and feel this baby move. I want to know our sweet baby is safe, healthy, and happy growing inside me. Being pregnant is one of the most joyous experiences, but it's also one of the scariest.”

As fans of the reality star and her husband Doug Hehner know, the couple lost their first child in July. “Our baby Hehner was just too beautiful for Earth,” Jamie said at the time. “I love him so much — always will — and can’t wait to meet him in heaven one day. Please pray for us.”

October is pregnancy and infant loss awareness month. I can't sleep well tonight so I blogged about my sweet boy, Johnathan Edward. I realize there is a great stigma associated with sharing photos of your baby who was born too early and has already gone to heaven so I want to say sorry if this offends you. However, if there's one thing my husband has taught me it's this: "Don't live life trying NOT to offend anyone and trying to please everyone." I hope by me sharing my sweet boy, Johnny (as Doug and I call him), you'll realize that he's a harmless, helpless baby who deserves to be remembered, not hidden away because his image may offend someone. And if you've lost your baby early, please know that you're not alone. Unfortunately, 1 in 4 women are affected by this. Yet, no one talks about it. I hope this can change. I'll be the first in my circle. You be the first in yours. My prayers go out to everyone who has lost their sweet baby too early.❤️ Link to my blog & Johnny's photo in my bio. #miscarriageawareness #miscarriage #miscarriagesupport #mafs #marriedatfirstsight

They revealed they are expecting again last month. “I wanted to share with family and friends before announcing publicly, but I knew I wasn't waiting the socially acceptable ‘3 months’ like I was ‘supposed’ to,” Jamie wrote, posing underneath an arch of rainbow-colored balloons representing her deceased son.
