The 49-year-old took to Twitter to update her fans and shared a two-minute clip from her song "The Great Forever," followed by a personal message about her health.

From my lips…
It's been rumored that the singer was forced to postpone her tour because of a growth that was found on her vocal cords – though this hasn't been confirmed or denied.
Janet's initial statement to her fans said, "I learned today from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time…There will be no further comment.”
