After years of speculation, JAY-Z finally admitted to cheating on Beyoncé with one word: “Infidelity.” The superstar rapper sat down for a tell-all interview with New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet and spoke about growing up in Brooklyn, the state of rap, and of course, his marriage. Watch the video below to see what he had to say:

In Beyoncé’s 2016 album Lemonade, she sang at length about her husband’s infidelities, but arguably the most infamous lyrics surrounded his alleged mistress in “Sorry:” “They sneaking out the back door / He only want me when I’m not there / He better call Becky with the good hair,” she sings. Gossip pointed to everyone from Rita Ora to Rihanna to Taylor Swift and designer Rachel Roy, but the superstar’s hairstylist had an alternative answer as to who “Becky” is. In an interview with the Daily Mail last year, Anthony Pazos claimed that the lyrics were penned about none other than Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner. However, nothing has been confirmed.

JAY also alluded to his infidelity on his 13th studio album 4:44 — which dropped earlier this year. The track “Family Feud” features his wife, and one line in particular has garnered massive media attention. “You did what with who? What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate? You risked that for Blue?”

In July, In Touch revealed that Bey, 36, and JAY, 47 — who tied the knot in 2008 and are parents to three kids, Blue, 5, and twins, Rumi and Sir — almost called it quits at one point because of his cheating ways. “[JAY-Z] had to beg his wife not to leave him,” said a source, adding they’ve been to “counseling and family therapy.”

“[JAY-Z] used to go out all the time and get close to women. He felt that if he hid his secrets, it almost meant he’d done nothing wrong. But Beyoncé knew all along. It became a dark shadow over their relationship.”

Today, however, “JAY’s at home more and is more of a family man. His focus is Beyoncé and the kids. It’s like a rebirth,” the source explained, adding their move to the West Coast helped a lot. “They both love it. They are just all-around happier.”
