If karma played a role in Jenna Dewan's breakup with Channing Tatum, you can't say she wasn't warned. Her ex Justin Timberlake even sang about it 11 years ago — remember his track "What Goes Around… Comes Around"? While some fans are devastated by the end of Jenna and Channing's eight-year marriage, others think Jenna is getting what she deserves after allegedly coming between Justin and his ex Britney Spears in 2001.

"Was Jenna Dewan hooking up with Justin Timberlake again?" tweeted @jgomez89 after Jenna and Channing broke the news. @TwiBritneyFan wrote, "I'm not surprised about Jenna and Channing. Especially Jenna. Justin Timberlake cheated on Britney with her back in 2001-2002." And @ThatsGymazing said, "I've never seen Step Up, but I'm still mad at Jenna for breaking up Britney and Justin."

In a 2017 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Jenna confirmed she was a backup dancer of Justin's "during and after" his Brit Brit breakup — saying that "whole drama" was the "craziest, wildest thing" — and said she and Justin dated for "not that long." But she denied she was his rebound chick.

(And, for the record, she said there was no 90-minute breakup dance-off between the two pop stars at a Los Angeles nightclub, as was widely reported. "That would be the coolest story in the world," she said. "But no, it never happened — not that I saw.")

Also, this World of Dance host not only believes in karma, but also insists the universe smiles upon her — or, at least, she used to think so. "I must have been a nun or something in a past life that gave me amazing karma in this life," she told ETonline in 2013.

In case you missed the news, she and her Logan Lucky husband announced their breakup yesterday. "We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple," they said in a joint statement. "We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best friends realizing it's time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible."

If that statement is to be believed, Jenna and Channing's separation is as amicable as it gets. So… No breakup dance-off then?
