<p><span></span>When <strong>Jennifer Gimenez</strong> arrived at a sober-living facility in the summer of 2008 to start shooting <em>Sober House</em>, VH1's spin-off of <em>Celebrity Rehab</em>, she asked whether filming could be postponed so she could drop some weight from her then-245-pound figure. Her time frame? Just one week. "I was still in denial," Jennifer tells <em>Life & Style</em>. "You can't lose 100 pounds in a week."<br />
"I did the craziest things," Jennifer revealed during an exclusive interview with Life & Style. . "I did a cleanse for 20 days. I didn't eat a thing for 20 days! I was so weak, I walked around and hung on to the walls." Before dieting the healthy way, Jennifer turned to some dangerous methods: "I've definitely gone through the bulimia, the anorexia -- and the drugs," says Jennifer. It wasn't until Jennifer kicked these harmful habits that she finally reached her goal of shedding 100 pounds.
"Losing the weight was more difficult than getting sober," Jennifer, who started gaining weight four years ago after choosing sobriety, tells Life & Style. "I mean, I went into treatment to get sober. You just abstain from drinking and drugs. But with food, you have to eat. You can't not eat." That's why finding trainer Darlene Berg was like an intervention for Jennifer's body and mind. "She'd make me concentrate on certain areas when I worked out with her, and she'd tell me how to eat." And the hard work has certainly paid off. "I'm at 145 -- I bought my first size-4 skirt at Express the other day!" says Jennifer.
