Jennifer Hudson Shares Audition Video From ‘American Idol’ to Remind Us That She’s Always Been Flawless!

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, the singer shared a throwback video on Instagram from her American Idol days, which shows her auditioning for the reality competition's third season in 2004.

"You think you're the best that we can find in American?" judge Randy Jackson asks, to which J. Hud responds, "Yes," before killing her rendition of Aretha Franklin's "Share Your Love With Me."

"If you give me the opportunity, I will make it work!" the 35-year-old captioned the post, which also shows a clip of her as a judge on The Voice UK. She's come so far!

Jennifer ended up finishing seventh on AI, and her elimination is still considered one of the most shocking in the show's history. She later went on to win a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work in the film Dreamgirls.
