The actress cut her hair a little shorter earlier this year, but explained that she needed to go even shorter because “it grew to that awkward, gross length, and I kept putting it back in a bun. And I was like, ‘I don’t want to do this!’ So I just cut it off. … It couldn’t get any uglier!”
The 23 year old has been heavily promoting her new flick, Catching Fire, the second installment of the Hunger Games series, on social media. This week alone, she visited the Facebook, Yahoo and Google headquarters.

On a Google+ hangout on Wednesday, she said that her long locks had been “fried from being dyed too much.”
But have no fear, Hunger Games fans! J-Law says her character, Katniss, will not be rocking a pixie cut in the upcoming movies.
“This isn’t how Katniss is going to look in the next movies,” she assured. “I’m actually wearing a wig (in the films).”
