Jennifer Lopez Sparks Engagement Rumors With Her Latest Music Video “Anillo”
What is he waiting for? Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez quickly became couple goals after they started dating last March and fans can't handle how cute the power couple looks together. However, J.Lo's latest music video has fans convinced A-Rod is about to pop the question to the Latin pop star. In her new song "Anillo," Jennifer, 48, basically admits to waiting for an engagement ring from the former Yankees star.
"You’ve given me so much / that I’ve been thinking / I have it all, but Where’s the ring?" Jennifer sings in Spanish in the video, which also features Spanish actor Miguel Angel Silvestre. And just to make sure everyone knows she is talking about her current bae, she adds, "Papi, you have class / As soon as you touch it / One run with three in base. We definitely didn't miss that baseball reference.
Earlier this year, when asked about engagement rumors, Alex added fuel to the fire with his extremely vague answers. "I don't know," the 42-year-old told E! News, hesitating before dodging the question about whether he and Jen had moved in together. And he also played coy with his response to whether he proposed or is planning to propose to J.Lo soon. “The question is… I need to find out which episode am I in first," he said, referring to his new Shark Tank role.
As Life & Style previously reported, J.Lo and A-Rod moved in together shortly after they started dating a year ago, but J.Lo was initially hesitant to tie the knot because of her previous failed relationships. "Jennifer worries she's going to make another mistake," an insider told Life & Style at the time. "She doesn't work well under pressure. Jennifer keeps telling Alex that she's 'just not there yet.'"
Since then, the couple and their kids have become the perfect blended family. Jen shares nine-year-old twins Emme and Max with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Alex shares 12-year-old daughter Natasha and nine-year-old daughter Ella with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis.
After this music video, it seems J.Lo is officially ready to walk down the aisle again. "I’m in a good relationship. I feel like I can say that for the first time – I don’t know – maybe ever,” she recently told Hola! USA. “And not that I didn’t have great relationships, full of love and adventure, but this is the first relationship I’ve been where I feel like we really make each other better. We complement each other, and there’s really pure, true love."
