Jenny McCarthy and Melissa McCarthy are cousins, a fun fact we have all heard a few thousand times in our life, and will no doubt hear a few thousand times more from our friends who are a bit behind the curve. And while the two never really speak about their relationship publicaly, because there's no real need, it seems that some people have decided that based on how different these cousins look , and where there careers have taken them, they hate each other.
There are even examples of their feuds, like the time Jenny told Melissa she had to lose weight if she wanted to make it in Hollywood. Or Melissa not having time for Jenny, and Jenny being jealous of her success, so jealous she won't even think of inviting Melissa to her upcoming wedding to Donnie Wahlberg.
The only problem is that these stories, and those reports of a feud, are completely false, and Jenny recently took some time to lay these rumors to rest.
"There is a crazy story going around that I once told my cousin, Melissa, that she would have to lose weight in order to get into show business. Nothing could be further from the truth," Jenny recently told People.
That's one story down.
"'They also say that I've 'banned' Melissa from my upcoming wedding, which is also ridiculous," says Jenny. "Donnie and I are planning a very intimate ceremony that will involve a very small group of our closest friends and that's it – not a huge production with hundreds of friends and extended families."
Well, at least that second story was half true.
Jenny also says in the interview that while she helped Melissa get her first job in L.A., everything she acheived after that she acheived on her own. See guys, what a nice supportive cousin!
Back to that job bit though, do you think the show Melissa worked on was Singled Out? We would give anything to watch Melissa McCarthy standing around during a taping of Singled Out.
