That was close. Jessica Simpson almost took a spill leaving her husband’s birthday celebration. Looking worse for wear, the famous blonde seemed drunk and disoriented as she left the popular LA restaurant Craig’s, and luckily for her hubby, Eric Johnson, was there for support — literally.

Holding on tightly to his arm, Jessica, 37, was caught by photographers missing the curb and losing her balance as she stepped off the sidewalk. Watch the video below to see the photos.

This is not the first time Jessica has been accused of possibly having a drinking problem. Earlier this year, she made an appearance on The Ellen Show, and she could barely put together a cohesive sentence. “Is Jessica Simpson…okay?” one fan tweeted following the episode while another added, “Watching the Jessica Simpson interview was cringe-worthy.”

In Touch recently reported that the mother-of-two is struggling with drug and alcohol abuse stemming from her work schedule and her father, Joe Simpson’s recent cancer diagnosis. “Jessica is reviving her music career, her fashion empire continues to thrive, she has a husband who loves her and two of the cutest children in Hollywood, but she’s blowing it all due to her self-doubt and drug and alcohol issues,” the insider said.
