Fans Are Seriously Divided Over Jim Carrey’s New “Moses” Beard!

The Dumb and Dumber actor is back after a few years out of the spotlight — and he is sporting a larger-than-life beard.

The two-toned facial hair is getting some serious attention on social media, especially after Jim, 55, stepped out on the red carpet to promote his new Showtime series I’m Dying Up Here.

“Jim Carrey’s gray beard has upset me,” one fan wrote on Twitter before another added, “To me Jim Carrey is still sexy but that long ass mountain man beard needs to go asap!”

While most are not fans of his beard, others are excited about the makeover.

“Jim Carey’s beard is too powerful! Rockin’ a Moses,” one wrote. Another shared the sentiment, tweeting, “I’m convinced Letterman and @JimCarrey are having a beard-growing contest, that hopefully manifests into a horror comedy road trip flick.”

The In Living Color alum opened up about his decision to grow out his facial hair on Jimmy
Kimmel Live — and in typical fashion, the comedian went overboard with the TMI.

“Everywhere I go, people talk about the beard,” he said after receiving a huge standing ovation. “They can’t really think about anything else… It’s a bigger star than me. It has its own Twitter.”

He continued, “The question is not, ‘Why are you growing a beard?’ The question is, ‘Why am I growing a beard and still shaving my balls?” he quipped. “It doesn’t make any sense.”

However, we have a feeling he might have to shave or at least trim it soon. Jim may be headed to trial after he was sued for wrongful death by the mother of his ex-girlfriend Cathriona White, who died as a result of an overdose. According to the court documents, Jim is being blamed for providing the makeup artist with the pills the killed her.

He has denied the allegations, calling the case, “irrelevant, false and improper.”
