Jodie Foster married girlfriend Alexandra Hedison in a private ceremony over the weekend, her rep confirms.

The 51-year-old began dating Alexandra in October 2013, but the pair have kept quiet about their relationship. They made their first public appearance together that same month at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts gala in Beverly Hills.

"It's pretty serious," a source said in September. "They're totally in love."

The two-time Oscar winner officially came out as gay in an emotional speech at the 2013 Golden Globes.

"Seriously, if you had been public figure from the time you were a toddler. If you had to fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal and against all odds — then maybe you too would value privacy against everything else," she said.

"Some day in the future, people will look back and remember how beautiful it once was. I have given everything up there…that's reality show enough."

Jodie previously dated Cydney Bernard, with whom she has sons Charlie, 14, and Kit, 11. The pair split after more than a decade together in 2008.

During the speech, she thanked her "soul sister for life" Cynthia. "I am so proud of our modern family," she stated.

Alexandra, who played Dylan Moreland in Showtime's hit lesbian drama, The L Word, for three seasons, was in a relationship with Ellen DeGeneres for about three years before they called it quits in 2004.
