Jodie Sweetin is an early favorite to take home the mirror ball trophy after a very emotional performance on Monday night’s Dancing With the Stars.

The celebs’ were tasked with commemorating their most memorable year, and the Fuller House actress chose 2015. Along with the reboot of her beloved sitcom getting picked up on Netflix, the mother-of-two celebrated five years of sobriety.

“When the original Full House wrapped, I was 13-years-old. It was a huge shift in my life,” she shared before taking the floor. “Everything that I’d known from the time I was five-years-old suddenly ended, and it was saying goodbye to a family that I loved very very much.”

She explained, “At such a young age, it really was a huge loss for me that I didn’t know how to grieve. Drugs and alcohol just sort of numbed everything. I was doing cocaine, and ecstasy, and alcohol, and all that.”

The 34-year-old and her partner Keo Motsepe danced a foxtrot to the Audra Day song “Rise Up,” and there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience by the time the duo finished.

Full House costars Lori Loughlin and Bob Saget also revealed how proud they are of Jodie for turning her life around. “To see [her] come out of the dark place and make it to the other side I think she’s completely inspiring,” Lori shared.

Her TV dad added, “I think she’s a great mom because she’s been through so much. With that comes honesty and the more honest you are with your kids, the more you can be real with them.”
