Hunky actor John Stamos was a '90s icon as "Uncle Jesse" on Full House, and it seems like he hasn't aged a day since then. However, some fans are still disappointed that John and Lori Loughlin, who played Jesse's wife Becky on the long-running family sitcom, never got together offscreen.

The 50-year-old actor, who now hosts the Yahoo! show Losing It, where stars share stories of their first sexual encounters, tells Life & Style he's glad that Jesse and Becky weren't a couple in real life.

"Our timing was always off," John explains. "During Full House, Lori was such a goody-good. And I think during those years, in my head I thought, you know, I wanted the wild girls!"

Eventually, both stars got married - but not to each other, of course. Lori was married to entertainment executive Michael Burns for seven years and is currently married to Italian fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli. Meanwhile, John was married to model and actress Rebecca Romijn from 1998 to 2005.

Still, John has no regrets about his relationship with Lori, whom he still considers a close friend: "I would rather have her as a best friend than an ex-wife."

Full House fans finally got part of their wish to see Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky back together when John appeared in character to perform several songs on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. As an extra surprise for the audience, Lori showed up to give her "husband" a congratulations kiss.
