<p><span></span>Just a few weeks ago, <strong>Jon Gosselin</strong> was tapping into his spiritual side, exploring yoga and Judaism. But on Dec. 16, it appeared <strong>Kate</strong>'s ex-husband had moved on to a more violent pastime: firing a handgun at the Wernersville, Pa., home he used to share with Kate and their eight young children. "Jon and his friends were taking turns shooting at some type of target for about an hour," says an eyewitness. "He was using real bullets and hit the target a couple of times." <br />
Jon, 32, bought the gun two months ago at an area store and has a permit to carry it, an insider reveals. "He enjoys shooting cans and stuff," a friend tells Life & Style. Though the kids weren't around when Jon and his friends fired the .38 caliber weapon, the judge who presided over the Gosselins' divorce isn't taking any chances. On Dec. 17, he prohibited Jon from having a gun near the kids' home (he'd been keeping it in the garage, according to an insider). Jon had suffered another blow days earlier, when TLC was granted an injunction prohibiting Jon from making public appearances -- reportedly leaving the down-and-out dad financially strapped.
