It’s a boy! Just last week, Jordin Sparks revealed in a new interview that she quietly tied the knot with boyfriend Dana Isaiah in July — and she also shared the exciting news that she and the aspiring model, 25, are expecting their first child together. Now, she took to Instagram to reveal the gender of baby No. 1!

“IT’S A BOY!!! We have so much to be thankful for and this is definitely at the top of the list! [Dana is] gonna have a little mini-me running around! We can’t wait to meet him. We love you lil man!” the 27-year-old wrote in the caption of a photo taken during their gender reveal.

Jordin has been out of the public eye for quite some time, which is why the news of her marriage and her pregnancy came as such a surprise. But she gushed over how excited she is to be experiencing her new milestones.

“We’re both really excited,” the American Idol alum told People. “[Dana has] been like, ‘I want to shout it from the mountain tops!’ We’re really proud to be married to each other and to be celebrating this.”

According to the “One Step at a Time” songstress, she knew Dana was the one the minute she laid eyes on him. “A couple days after we had actually met, I was like in my head ‘That’s going to be my husband! That’s my husband right there,’” Jordin said, adding that she made it clear to Dana that she didn’t want to move in with him until they became husband and wife. “When I’m with him, I feel comfort and safety and calm and peace, and those aren’t things that I normally felt. So it was a little wake-up call for me.”

The reality TV vet went on to say that she and Dana initially connected over their tight-knit families and their shared Christian faith. Back in February, when Jordin met her man’s family for the first time in Houston at the Super Bowl while traveling with her charity campaign, “I’m M.A.D. Are You?,” Dana’s parents tried to dissuade him from moving out to LA to be closer to the singer.

“My mom was trying to get [Jordin] to talk me out of moving to L.A. because she’s experienced the industry out here,” the dad-to-be explained to the magazine. “It wasn’t like, ‘We want you guys to date.’”

However, Jordin and Dana’s loved ones eventually got on board with their relationship — and watched the pair exchange vows during an intimate ceremony in Hawaii on July 16. Then, in late August, the Grammy-nominated musician discovered she was pregnant. “It’s been really crazy because everything changes,” Jordin — who is due in spring 2018 — said. “Once we got over the initial shock of it, now again just like it is with the marriage, to be able to share that this amazing thing is happening, it’s such a great thing. We did this together!”

She added, “I’m extremely grateful because life is nuts. This is the best part so far because I have [Dana] and I have this little one and I have a new family. I’m the most content I’ve ever been in my life.”
